After our trip to Zürich we went back to Ludwigsburg for one more day, and then we took the train to Munich. We booked a lovely room (and they also had a cat!) via Airbnb and explored the city and met dear friends. We got some great tips and tried to check off most of them: We climbed the tower of the St Peter’s church, went to the „Englischer Garten“ and the Olympiapark. We had a great time! Maybe we’ll be back soon for the Oktoberfest – Sven likes beer, I like dirndl, so it would be a win-win 😀

Bamberg

A friend spontaneously offered to show us around Bamberg – so we made a short stop there on our way back to Wiesbaden. Such a pretty town!

Christmas Date #01 – Lumumba at the Christmas Market

http://kathastrophal.de | Lumumba at the Christmas Market
When I posted about our Date Advent Calendar, some of you wanted to hear more about the dates. Here’s the first one: Drink Lumumba at the Christmas Market. It was actually our first time at the Christmas Market in Wiesbaden this year. I love all the lights, the festive mood and of course Lumumba [cacao and rum, what’s not to love?] – and sharing all of this with Sven who loves me even though my nose is red [as my co-worker said: a cold lasts a week… or seven days] and I’m not wearing any makeup at all. ♥

Snaps of Happiness – a Lovely, Crafty Weekend in Potsdam & Berlin

On Friday, Lu hosted a Crafty Christmas party and invited Vivi and me to join and spend the weekend with her. We got to make even more friends (Laura, Anja and Sina & Kat), explored Potsdam and Berlin and of course talked and crafted a lot. It was easily one of the best weekends of the year and really helped me get into the Christmas spirit!
Vivi and I got up very very early and drove to Berlin by train.

Lu, her boyfriend Flo and cute Mogli were the most perfect hosts – thank you sooo so much for inviting us! I also loved getting to know all of the other adorable girls. And of course, spending time with lovely Vivi! :* Another highlight for me was seeing my best friend on Sunday in Berlin and finally telling her all about my blog. I just love her so much. I left with so much love and happiness in my heart. Pure Joy!

A trip to… Pumpkin Exhibition @ Ludwigsburg

In around the world
am 27. Oktober 2012
http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg My hometown Ludwigsburg hosts a yearly pumpkin exhibition. They even say that it’s the world’s largest pumpkin exhibition, but as Katie told me, there’s a pumpkin show in Circleville that also claims to be the world’s largest… so I’m not that sure anymore. World record or not, I love our exhibition! There’s always a theme – this year’s was Switzerland – and cool displays made from pumkins that showcase this theme. There was a swiss army knife made out of pumpkins, the Matterhorn, pumpkins in the form of swiss cheese and so much more, all with great attention to detail. As cute as this themed displays are, I am always wowed by the sheer amount and variety of the pumpkins. I could have taken millions of pictures of every different kind (and Sven would probably say that I did). I think pumpkins are just so pretty with their different colours and shapes! Ich finde Kürbisse sehen einfach so toll aus – diese Farben, diese Formen, wow! http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg http://kathastrophal.de | Pumpkin Exhibition / Kürbisaustellung Ludwigsburg My favourite part was this display with all kinds of different pumpkins from different countries. Some of them have the funniest names and shapes… perfect for my preteen sense of humour.
