Today is the first Plus Size Outfit Day, where plus sized bloggers from all over the world show their outfits they created around a different theme. Today’s theme, as you can see, is black and white, but I added a little bit of colour with my shoes. I wish we wouldn’t need a day like this. I wish I could go into any clothing store and be able to try on and buy clothes in my size. I wish any person in any size could do the same. I wish we wouldn’t need categories like „plus sized“. I wish everyone would stop judging other people by their appearance and all this hate-driven body-shaming talk. I wish everyone would stop jumping to conclusions about a person’s health based solely on their weight. I wish everyone would realize that „Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.“ [Well, have you tried… FOOD?] is just as stupid as „Real women have curves.“. I wish everyone would love and be happy with their body. * But as my wishes aren’t reality right now, I fully support ideas like the Plus Size Outfit Day. It’s a great way to show the world that YES, we need sizes bigger than the standard ones, and YES, we are visible, and YES, we would love to be able to buy (more) affordable, fashionable, beautiful clothes in bigger sizes. So please make some?! * I also wish we had world peace, that „Black Books“ had a fourth season and that someone would build me a walk-in closet. But that’s not what it’s about today, right? Also stellt doch einfach welche für uns her?! Day kathastrophal | Plus Size Outfit Day kathastrophal | Plus Size Outfit Day kathastrophal | Plus Size Outfit Day kathastrophal | Plus Size Outfit Day

Love the long skirt!  I rarely think those things are flattering on any body type, but it looks really great on you.  Thank god for online shopping, I say.  Yes, it bothers me that some stores only sell their plus sizes online, but at least I have access to them at all.  I can’t imagine what full-figure women were doing before the Internet.

    Hi Katha!
Genialer Post!

I love this outfit and I think that anyone, regardless of size, can rock it.  On a separate note, I hate the different labels, too! I am not actually petite,  just short and it kills me that I always have to get 6 inches or more from jeans or dresses if I want them to fit.  Let’s stop bashing ourselves and wear what does fit our bodies.  PS- I am going to copy this look!
