What I loved about last week: ♥ May 1st. A day off in the middle of the week is always great! We had another karaoke night on Monday and spent some time outside on Tuesday – perfect if you ask me. ♥ An university project with two of my best friends. Actually, all of my projects this semester are with friends… that’s always a plus. ♥ Even more time spent outside. I went out wearing a skirt without tights for the first time this year. ♥ Breakfast. Especially jam on cream cheese. Never fails to make my day. ♥ Being surrounded by some amazing, strong women. So inspiring! ♥ Der 1. Mai. Ein freier Tag in der Mitte der Woche ist immer toll! Wir haben mit einem weiteren Karaoke-Abend reingefeiert und waren am Dienstag selbst ein bisschen draußen in der Sonne – perfekt, wenn du mich fragst. ♥ Ein Fh-Projekt mit zweien meiner liebsten Freunde. Eigentlich sind all meine Projekte dieses Semester mit Freunden… das ist immer gut. ♥ Noch mehr Zeit draußen. Ich bin sogar schon im Kleid ohne Strumpfhose draußen gewesen, zum ersten Mal dieses Jahr. ♥ Frühstück. Ganz besonders Marmelade auf Frischkäse. Das verschönert jeden Tag. ♥ Umgeben sein von ganz vielen wunderbaren, starken Frauen. So inspirierend! ♥ Em, who is one of my role models, talks about her emotional size and how amazing it is that there are so many blogs who focus on a range of bodies and differences – so true! [DIY Fatshion] ♥ I’ve always wanted to try to make risotto – and now that Emma shared her risotto basics, I certainly have to give it a try! [Food Coma] ♥ Zwei wundervolle Brunch-Inspirationen: Einmal von Ina, deren Bilder mich immer wieder zum Träumen bringen, und einmal von Laura, deren Liebeserklärung an das Brunchen ich nur unterschreiben kann. Some of the things that made me really happy last week: ♥ So much warmth and sunshine… and all of this so sudden! I wore a coat on Friday and a t-shirt on Saturday. My new sunblock arrived just in time. I’m such a SPF-junkie… Sven always jokes that I wear SPF 1000. I probably would if it was possible! ♥ I won Hanna’s giveaway and got the package this week – thanks again! ♥ Another Guitar Hero night with my friends – so so so much fun! Also, inviting friends over helps to keep my room kind of tidy 😉 ♥ Sven’s flatmade who finally returned from a semester „abroad“ [he was in Bavaria] and who made pancakes for breakfast yesterday. A breakfast that lasted from about 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ♥ Asparagus season! ♥ And last but certainly not least: A day in Frankfurt with some lovely blogging ladies! We survived the heat and had soo much fun – I really really want to do this again! I’d love to meet all of you! ♥ Ein paar der Dinge, die mich diese Woche so glücklich gemacht haben: ♥ So viel Sonne und Wärme – und so plötzlich! Am Freitag musste ich noch meinen Mantel tragen, am Samstag war ich dann schon im T-Shirt unterwegs. Mein neuer Sonnenschutz von Neutrogena [hier bei ebay bestellt] ist gerade rechtzeitig angekommen. Ich bin so ein Sonnenschutz-Junkie… Sven sagt immer, ich würde LSF 1000 tragen. Würd ich auch, wenn das ginge! ♥ Ich habe Hannas Giveaway gewonnen und ein süßes Päckchen von ihr bekommen – vielen Dank nochmals! ♥ Ein weiterer Abend mit Guitar Hero – das macht so so so viel Spaß! Und dass meine Freunde dazu immer zu mir kommen hat den praktischen Nebeneffekt, dass ich mein Zimmer einigermaßen ordentlich halten muss 😉 ♥ Svens Mitbewohner, der von seinem „Auslands“semester [in Bayern] zurückgekehrt ist und uns gestern Pancakes zum Frühstück gemacht hat. Ein Frühstück das einfach mal von 11 bis um 2 ging. ♥ Spargelzeit! ♥ Und das womöglich beste zum Schluss: Ein Tag in Frankfurt mit ein paar ganz lieben Bloggermädels [Meiner lieben Vee, Lu von luziehtan, drei der Four Fairies und Nadine von Creme de la Crema – lauter ganz wundervolle Mädels!]. Wir haben die Hitze überstanden und hatten eine Menge Spaß – danke Lu für die Idee! Ich würd das so gerne wiederholen, am liebsten würde ich euch alle mal treffen! ♥ Ein Abschiedsfoto gab es natürlich auch: Nailfanish, Vee, Ninive, Lu, Scätter & ich. – da mein Blogger-Boyfriend nicht zur Hand war, musste der von Lu herhalten 😉 [und alle außer mir sind so süß klein, buhu!] ♥ Tia’s friends surprised her with a bachelorette party and made the entire periodic table of elements in cupcake form – Amazing! [Reading in Skirts] ♥ Everyone should own a blanket scarf. Oh yes. [The Inclined Plane] ♥ This is SO funny, even though it makes your brain hurt a little… Clients From Hell. I read the entire thing! ♥ Meine allerliebste Foodbloggerin hat einfach die besten Ideen: Stracciatella-Törtchen mit Himbeeren, mmmh! [Küchenzaubereiern] //und nicht beleidigt sein, ich hab mindestens 3 allerliebste Foodbloggerinnen :* ♥ Die wunderbare Milena überzeugt mich davon, den Gardasee mit auf meine „Da will ich mal hin!“-Liste zu setzen. [MilleMusings] ♥ Die Maxi hat ein paar Plus-Size-Blogs vorgestellt und interviewt – ein paar meiner persönlichen Favoriten sind auch dabei, yay!

The things that made my week: ♥ The glimpes of sunshine in between all those rain showers. ♥ Friends! I was surrounded by some of the best people I know this weekend, and it fills me with so much joy to have them in my life. ♥ Also: Friends who introduce me to guitar hero. So much fun! And since I wasn’t the worst player in our team, over-competitive Katha was happy, too 😀 ♥ Writing real, old school letters. ♥ Preparing a blog sale [soon!] and making plans to fill the resulting gaps in my closet. ♥ Spontaneous baking adventures. They’re the best. Was diese Woche zu einer tollen Woche gemacht hat: ♥ Kurze Momente voller Sonnenschein zwischen all den Regenschauern. ♥ Meine Freunde! Dieses Wochenende war ich umgeben von einigen der besten Menschen, die ich kenne… und es macht mich so glücklich, dass ich sie alle in meinem Leben habe. ♥ Außerdem: Meine Freunde, die mir Guitar Hero zeigen! Das macht so viel Spaß – und ich war nicht die schlechteste, also ist Schlechte-Verliererin-Katha auch glücklich 😀 ♥ Richtige, altmodische Briefe zu schreiben. ♥ Einen Blogsale vorzubereiten [kommt bald!] und dabei Pläne zu schmieden, wie ich die entstehenden Lücken in meinem Schrank wieder füllen kann. ♥ Spontane Backabenteuer, weil das einfach die besten sind. ♥ This weekend, I rediscovered this gem of a Youtube-Video by Axis of Awesome. It’s not only super funny, it also helps you remember that there’s SO much amazing music out there. What made me smile this week: ♥ A fun night out with good friends, pizza & drinks . ♥ Using my Glamour Shopping Week card [you get discounts in a lot of different stores] and having a little Starbucks date. I also ordered a skirt and a cardigan from Asos, can’t wait for them to arrive! ♥ Finally watching some of the movies that were on my „To Watch“ – list for a long time: Martha Marcy May Marlene [which already gave me nightmares] and The Kids Are All Right. I can highly recommend both of them if you like unusual stories! ♥ Making a spinach quiche, mmhh! Was mich diese Woche zum Lächeln gebracht hat: ♥ Ein schöner Abend mit guten Freunden, Pizza & ein bisschen was zum anstoßen. ♥ Dass ich meine Glamour Shopping Week Karte weiter genutzt habe, unter anderem für ein Starbucks-Date und eine Bestellung bei Asos. Ich hab mir einen Rock und einen Cardigan ausgesucht und freue mich schon darauf, wenn die Sachen hier sind! ♥ Endlich ein paar der Filme auf meiner „Filme, die ich unbedingt mal sehen will“-Liste abzuarbeiten: Martha Marcy May Marlene, von dem ich schon Albträume bekam, und The Kids Are All Right.
