I’m back from London and I had so much fun there! Laura, Dani and I got there really early on Thursday and spent the day exploring Convent Garden and the Primark on Oxford Street. On friday, my friend Adriana, who currently lives in England, joined us and we went to even more shops on Oxford Street and to Camden Town. I underestimated how exhausting shopping can get! We saw the musical „Thriller Live“ in the evening – see, we did more than just shopping 😉 Then on saturday the blogger meet-up Plus London Two finally took place. Laura and I went to Anna Scholz‘ studio to see and try on her new collection. I loved it and was so so excited to meet a lot of my blogging idols – I got really start-struck actually. Some of them told me they loved my blog when I could only think „Eeeeeek! YOU know my blog?!?!?“, so crazy! We met Dani and Ada later and in the evening all four of us went to the Plus London – Party where we saw even more amazing girls and clothes. I’m going to post a lot more about this event soon! Unfortunately, it also started to snow on saturday and we got really worried about out flight home the next day – and we were right to worry. We spent ages at the airport, waiting to get through to the security check and held our breath each time they announced new flights that were cancelled. Fortunately though, our flight wasn’t cancelled. It was nearly an hour late and we still barely made it into the aircraft. I was really happy when we finally landed in Germany – and even more happy when Sven and two friends surprised me at the airport to pick me up. I really missed him. Though it was absolutely fantastic to be surrounded be these amazing girls! Laura, Dani and their shopping success. Adriana, Dani, Laura and some fantastic cakes. The four of us at the evening event. Laura & me in the snow. more snow… & even more snow!

Guys, I’m soo happy right now! Just had to share that :] We spent the weekend at my parents‘, which was a lot of fun since there were lots of games and great food involved. We went out to a restaurant on saturday evening and had coffee and cake with more family and friends yesterday. My parents also took us to see „The Descendants“ which was really good – the girl who plays the older daughter is amazing! I’ve got some great things to look forward to this week: a friend from school is visiting me tomorrow and will live really close for the next two months… and on thursday, we’re flying to London! I’m so so so excited – my wallet, not so much…
my new favourite granola: Aldi Bio with whole raspberries [thanks to Anne] // chicken & broccoli in homemade peanut sauce // polkadots on polkadots in the dressing room // a wall in my parents‘ house

[maedchenmitherz] I’m afraid this is going to sound like shameless self promotion, but I really HAVE to share the love this little blog of mine has received this week. I was ooooh-ing and aaaah-ing over these posts: ♥ Stef introduced 10 amazing blogs to her readers – and mine was one of them! You should definitely take a look at the other ones as well & please read Stef’s blog, magnoliaelectric, if you aren’t already – she takes the most beautiful photographs and is a constant source of inspiration. Plus, she’s absolutely adorable! ♥ Tia and Mia took one of my outfits and both created amazing outfits based on that. I feel so flattered and I think both of their looks are fantastic – I have to get myself a broach like Tia! Sven’s comment when I told him about this post was „You’re a style icon!“ 😀 While I’m far from that, I definitely can’t stop smiling since I saw it. Reading in Skirts is always a great read, I love how Mia and Tia play with patterns and colours.
I want to thank everyone of you SO much for reading my blog, you make this whole blogging thing an amazing experience!

We didn’t do much this weekend, but were tired all the time… I can’t sleep well recently. Everyone I talked to told me the same thing – weird. So when we weren’t busy complaining about our tiredness, we had some adventures in the kitchen. I wanted to eat bread dumplings since my flatmate had some last week, so Sven and I created a dinner around that on staturday. On sunday, we tried my newest prized posession: my lovely flatmate gave me a kit to make my own chocolate bars for christmas! We made some with caramel and peanuts – soooo good! And Sunday evening, we met some friends for karaoke, which has become my favourite hobby. I rediscovered that I’m really attracted to guys who can’t sing 😀 Are you on Instagram, too? I’m kathastrophal, let’s be friends :]

Weekend Recap #01 – a lot of studying & our anniversary ♥

I spent most of my weekend studying… we had another big live-programming test yesterday. It really broke my heart because on Sunday was my 1 year anniversary with Sven ♥ We’ve the decided to celebrate it next weekend, so I guess it’s ok. Other highlights of my weekend included: – telling the first person I know outside of this internet world [other than Sven] about my blog – Welcome! – planning & booking our trip to London with Fubsy & Daniela & getting one of the sweetest E-mails ever – thank you Kelsey ♥ And yesterday, me and all of the people I really care about passed our test, so of course we had to celebrate.
