Weekend Recap & Links I Loved – Week #04/2012

Guys, I’m soo happy right now! Just had to share that :] We spent the weekend at my parents’, which was a lot of fun since there were lots of games and great food involved. We went out to a restaurant on saturday evening and had coffee and cake with more family and friends yesterday. My parents also took us to see “The Descendants” which was really good – the girl who plays the older daughter is amazing! I’ve got some great things to look forward to this week: a friend from school is visiting me tomorrow and will live really close for the next two months… and on thursday, we’re flying to London! I’m so so so excited – my wallet, not so much…

Links I loved
♥ There’s a new instagram challenge for february: #FEBphotoaday – I’m in! [Fat Mum Slim] ♥ Need to try this baked potato soup [Threads and Buttons] ♥ Didn’t really like the Versace Cruise collection for H&M at first, but this cute outfit is making me re-think that [Pocket Rocket Fashion] ♥ I adore Chantilly’s new feature: Pretty Pinterest [Chantilly songs] P.S.: Have you listened to her music yet? I love it! P.P.S.: I’m on Pinterest, too! Let’s follow each other :] ♥ Katja just makes the cutest stuff. This jar vase is no exception. [maedchenmitherz] I’m afraid this is going to sound like shameless self promotion, but I really HAVE to share the love this little blog of mine has received this week. I was ooooh-ing and aaaah-ing over these posts: ♥ Stef introduced 10 amazing blogs to her readers – and mine was one of them! You should definitely take a look at the other ones as well & please read Stef’s blog, magnoliaelectric, if you aren’t already – she takes the most beautiful photographs and is a constant source of inspiration. Plus, she’s absolutely adorable! ♥ Tia and Mia took one of my outfits and both created amazing outfits based on that. I feel so flattered and I think both of their looks are fantastic – I have to get myself a broach like Tia! Sven’s comment when I told him about this post was “You’re a style icon!” :D While I’m far from that, I definitely can’t stop smiling since I saw it. Reading in Skirts is always a great read, I love how Mia and Tia play with patterns and colours.
I want to thank everyone of you SO much for reading my blog, you make this whole blogging thing an amazing experience!

What I Wore – 25 years

red c&a dress, black primark cardigan, tuquoise cowboy boots Cardigan // Primark borrowed from my sister Dress // C&A Shoes // ?? borrowed from my sister Tights // Primark
More than 25 years ago, my parents got married. Today we’re celebrating their silver wedding anniversary. I love both of them very much! They’re real role models. I also love visiting them. Best things about being here include:
  • Getting spoiled by everyone ♥
  • Seeing our guinea pigs!
  • Playing a lot of games
The best part though? I can steal clothes from my sister.

P.S.: Welcome welcome welcome to everyone who found me today via magnoliaelectric! ♥

What I Wore – Uniform

casual uniform Cardigan // Primark Scarf // Primark Shoes // C&A Skirt // H&M Tights // Aldi <-- THE thermal tights! Top // H&M
This is my ultimative go-to-outfit when I don’t want to think about what I’ll wear. I wore it a lot recently, because I had to work on a project and meet its deadline yesterday. I’m glad it’s done! Sven also finished another project yesterday, so we went out to celebrate. While we each had a cocktail and shared something to eat, a guy sat down at the table next to us. He was all by himself, ordered a whole bottle of wine and some fries and played with his Ipad. After that, he ordered another whole bottle of wine. And more fries. And played with his Ipad. All by himself. Still not sure if he was just plain weird or if I should file it under “stuff only Apple-Users understand” [do you, Apple-Users?]…
